Project Details:                IDRM – Cutting Edge Research Facility
Area:                                   Oxford University Hospital, Headingdon
Size of Project:                 6,645 Sqm
Value:                                 £23.5 million

“The cutting-edge research facility will bring together three themes of expertise: cardiology, neurology and immunology, with the aim of developing treatments for degenerative diseases of development and aging, including heart disease, stroke and primary immune deficiencies. The project will provide prime space to recruit new research leaders; promote multidisciplinary expertise and build strong collaborations with other world leading institutes”

To reflect the University’s sustainability philosophy, the building has been designed using Passivhaus design principles – hence why Paroc Panel Systems was an ideal solution.

NH Business Gateway raised Paroc Panel Systems Branding and product awareness by writing to SRA Architects back in 2020 to promote and propose a technical CPD Seminar.  A CPD Seminar was secured within days of the proposal being sent and scheduled for Paul Kinsey from Paroc Panel Systems, to present the technical CPD Seminar on Mineral Wood Panels on 24th February 2021.

As you can see from the above description provided by SRA Architects – this is a large project, where mineral wool panels have been used for their non-combustible qualities on this cutting edge building. SRA having attended the Paroc CPD liaised with them to specify their steel faced non-combustible composite panels on this scheme.

Hospitals and Universities are ideal buildings where Paroc Panel Systems can be used for both internal and external applications.

Oxford is renowned for having many university buildings situated within Oxford, attached to the Oxford University Hospital, and this is a superb addition to one of their many buildings.

Once again, it has been a pleasure for NH Business Gateway to be involved with creating and securing a great business opportunity for Paroc Panel Systems, where it has successfully come to fruition where my client, Paul Kinsey has had Paroc Panels specified on this project / with an order for the above size building.
